Hello beautiful people! I’ve been a bit restraint from the updating the blog recently, but it doesn’t mean I don’ have a lot of interesting news to share with you. First of all, I finally received my long-expected French resident permit after the whole four months of await. Tell me about the challenges of living in another country! Honestly, there should be a book written about all fo the administrative adventures possible. Besides, I got another amazing news in stock : there is a brand-new “Travels” category opened on the blog! I gave myself a promise to travel more in my last post and I stick to it.
I would love no city but Paris to be featured in my first post for this new category. There is some inexplicable charm about going no further than your own city, disconnect and feel like an utter tourist. Did you ever pack your bag, get to hotel away from your place and reveal your own city from the different angle? I bet you already did it at least once! If no – grab your friend, your pajamas along with the toothbrush, hop on the bus /cab / subway/ boat and get ready to breath in some fresh air! You don’t always have to go to the end of the planet to find a new inspiration, sometimes it’s just some hundred meters around the corner. Balmoral Hotel was my genuine getaway for the weekend. If you, like me, are fan of the tiny Parisian balconies, the most delicious bio breakfasts and cosy open-air terraces( with the bikes available for the ride!), Balmoral is the best option you could ever spot! I’m not even talking about the most ideal location in front of the Arc de Triumph and the coffee machines in the hotel rooms. Yes, I’m a huge coffee buff. For the top of the cake, I had my friend from Samara visiting me in Paris. It’s funny how the time flies by, but we happen to stay the same crazy ladies, fighting in the croissant war, committing the challenge for the highest jump on the bed or emptying the salmon tray.
That being said, summer is near at hand, which means that more trips are coming our way and I already feel the great urgence to fill up this new category with the travel stories.
